March 9th - Botswana, Kigali & Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Following breakfast at the camps, transfer to our respective airstrips for the return charter flights to Maun. Upon arrival, board our private jet for the flight to Rwanda.
Volcanoes National Park
Depart: Maun, Botswana 11:00 a.m.
Arrive: Kigali, Rwanda 2:05 p.m.
Elapsed Time: 3 hours, 35 min.
Upon arrival, we clear immigration and customs before dividing into groups based on our lodges.
Virunga Lodge
Drive approximately three hours to Ruhengeri in northern Rwanda, as we make our way to Volcanoes National Park, at an altitude between 7,000 and 10,000 feet. Then transfer to our mountain lodges and check in. This evening enjoy a presentation from the Mountain Gorilla Vet Program. All groups will be briefed on gorilla trekking guidelines followed by dinner at the lodges.
