Koutoubia Mosque

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for our morning tour of Marrakech, one of the most exotic cities in the world. This vibrant trading center’s medina, with its winding alleys and shops, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our tour includes stops at the Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa.

Later we get to choose from one of the following options:

Option 1 - Majorelle Gardens

Visit the Majorelle Gardens. The garden was established in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, with marble pools, raised pathways, banana trees, groves of bamboo, coconut palms, and bougainvillea. After years of neglect, the garden was then taken over and restored by the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge.

Option 2 - Souks & Djemaa el Fna

Explore the colorful souks with a local guide. Later, you may return to the hotel or stroll the Djemaa el Fna, a lively square with snake charmers, acrobats, and magicians.

Pre-Selected Full-Day Alternate - Atlas Mountains

For those who chose the alternate to Marrakech, spend a day in the spectacular scenery of the Atlas Mountains, the highest mountain range in North Africa. Berber tribes live throughout this rugged land, where farming is central to day- to-day life. Visit a Berber village and share tea with a village chief and his family who will also treat us to a delicious traditional lunch. In the evening, rejoin the group in Marrakech for the gala farewell dinner.

The main souks in Marrakech are north of the Djemaa-El-Fna (The touristy Central Square) and are a maze of mostly shaded lanes. Pedestrians, carts, motorcycles, bicycles & donkeys all share the pathways.
