Early this morning, enjoy an optional sunrise visit to Angkor Wat, with breakfast outside a Buddhist temple. Or, after breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Angkor Wat to explore this magnificent complex, also known as “the city which is a temple.” Angkor Wat is the world’s largest religious structure built in stone.

Afterward, visit Bayon Temple followed by Ta Prohm, a 13th century stone temple. Set in the Cambodian jungle, Ta Prohm is nestled among banyan trees that engulf the temple walls. We return to the hotel for lunch.

After lunch we get to choose one of the following afternoon activities:

Visit Tonlé Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, and home to the famed floating village, where we will tour the community of houses and businesses floated on pontoons that line the lake.

Option 2 - Banteay Srei & Banteay Samre

Visit Banteay Srei and explore the “citadel of women,” where Hindu temples of red sandstone are beautifully preserved and magnificent carvings cover nearly every surface. Also visit Banteay Samré - named after the ancient people of Indochina, the temple uses the same materials as Banteay Srei.

Option 3 - Silk Farm

Explore a silk farm with a local guide where you can learn about traditional silk production and shop for locally crafted silk goods.

Option 4 - Siem Reap Market

Peruse the bustling Siem Reap Market where locals sell and produce handicrafts. 

Pre-Selected Full-day Alternate

Explore the lost jungle temple of Beng Mea Lea and the ninth-century Roluos temple complex, which includes Preah Ko, the first temple built at this ancient site. Also visit the multi-towered Lolei, once an island temple in the center of a great reservoir. Visit local handicraft workshops and enjoy a picnic lunch.
